About Us
EMS Pathfinders was born from a collaborative discussion regarding the lack of EMS Leadership education and training across the industry. While there are conferences and classes, they are generally priced above the average budget for new and upcoming leaders.
This initiative is meant to help EMS Professionals grow in their leadership process, but also offer support and services to smaller agencies that want to be the best they can be!

We’re committed to helping our customers every step of the way and providing useful services to take care of all their needs. Read below to learn about the range of services we provide. We’re constantly growing and expanding our service options, so if you have something in mind that we don’t yet provide, we’d love to hear about it.
PRESIDENT/OWNER
Macara Trusty, MS, LP, SHRM-SCP
has over 26 years of EMS experience, including many years of teaching and leadership. She has many years of experience serving as the Clinical Education & QA/QI Manager for a large EMS Provider and currently serves as a Regional Project Manager for a large EMS organization. Macara holds a Master's degree in Management and Leadership, and maintains other provider, instructor, and coordinator certifications in EMS, Project+, and SHRM-SCP.
Macara also serves as the chair of the EMS Education Committee for the Texas Governor’s EMS and Trauma Advisory Council (GETAC). She has led collaborative and cross-functional teams toward innovative solutions that improve the quality of emergency medical service delivery, clinical education, and training in Texas. Macara also serves NAEMT as a Director for Region IV on the NAEMT Board of Directors, Education Coordinator for Texas, Chair of the Lighthouse Leadership Committee, and as a member of the Education Committee.
